After a year of working on Disco Profiles, we uncovered an increasing desire from people to allow them to get started issuing credentials to their users quickly as an organization, without necessarily having to learn every last detail when it comes to decentralized identifiers, methods, and verifiable credentials.

We began with batch issuance—the ability to send many credentials at once, then providing API keys and limited functionality for partners. As time went on, we learned more and more about the needs of organizations issuing credentials at scale. Our claim pages then uncovered a new way of distributing credentials according to a given criteria, enabling issuers to understand exactly how successful said distribution is.
